I haven’t really posted in a while so I thought I’d do a catch up of what I’m reading and watching at the moment.
Reading:
The Virgin’s Daughter by Laura Andersen
I’m about to finish this and I’ll post the full review shortly but it’s a brilliant book, just as good as her previous series.
The Book of Joy by Dalai Lama XIV, Desmond Tutu and Douglas Carlton Abrams
An interesting book about how joy is possible in all of us and very different from happiness. I’ve so far learnt that material gain will not bring lasting joy. It’s really well written and flows really nicely as their conversations unfold.
Watching:
I’ve decided to re-watch the entire series to prepare for the last season which starts in April! I forgot how young all the Starks were in season 1, poor babies! I also remembered how much I hate Robert Baratheon and how much Ned screwed everything up (thanks Ned, you suck). Season 1 is so close to the books though which is something else I miss from the later seasons. On to season 2 (aka my favourite) now!
I’m loving this season more than I expected now that Mike and Rachel aren’t in it. I’ve definitely laughed a lot more at this season. I adore Sam Wheeler the newest lawyer to the firm who came over with Robert after the merger. She’s fierce and doesn’t care what anyone else thinks of her #lifegoals! I am a bit gutted that Donna and Harvey still aren’t a couple but we still have time right??!
It’s about a woman who goes on her honeymoon in the Scottish Highlands in the 1940’s and ends up being transported to the 18th century. It’s also a hugely popular book series which I can’t wait to read! I’m only halfway through the season, I’ve never seen Outlander before but the first episode was so beautiful and so gripping I was hooked after that. I love the premise of being dragged back in time, I know Claire didn’t have the best time at first. I’ve always loved history so I would love to go back in time and live in history!! I’m listening to the soundtrack right now, that’s how much I’m loving it.
Sex Education(Netflix original)
This just became available on Netflix last week, it’s a comedy about a teenage boy who’s mother is a Sex Therapist. He gives advice to someone at school and his friends convince him to try and make some money doing it. It’s really funny, the style is 80’s but everyone has a moblile phone…it’s quirky and Gillian Anderson is in it so what more could you possibly want?!
I was so tempted to just start rewatching Game of Thrones before the final season…

There’s still time! I love rewatching things, and I’ve forgotten some of the things that happened last season!
